Steam rises from his mug as Matt Waterston stares through rain-soaked windows. To the casual observer, he could merely be contemplating the rugged grandeur of Scotland’s West Coast, taking in the beauty of the turquoise sea and surrounding hills. More likely, however, Matt is plotting the day’s adventure. Whitewater kayaks or sea kayaks? SUP tour or boat ride to a neighboring bay? Hill walk, munro hike or bike ride? Both?

Once a childhood holiday destination, the picturesque region surrounding Arisaig is now home base for Matt, his family and their guiding business.
