Still in good spirits, Tyler enjoys one of the many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches of our trip as he is transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/d2kl15j267vxtq.cloudfront.net\/duct-tape\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/31191240\/2GauleyDiagonalLedges.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-344 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d2kl15j267vxtq.cloudfront.net\/duct-tape\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/31191240\/2GauleyDiagonalLedges.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" \/><\/a>After our sojourn in Kentucky, we continued on to West Virginia to surf and spin down the famous Gauley River. A colorful \u201cEast Coast eddy\u201d looks on as NRS ambassador Bryan Kirk sets up his next blunt on the Diagonal Ledges wave of the lower Gauley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/d2kl15j267vxtq.cloudfront.net\/duct-tape\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/31191239\/3TimesSquare.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-345 aligncenter\" style=\"border-style: initial; border-color: initial; margin-top: 0.4em;\" src=\"https:\/\/d2kl15j267vxtq.cloudfront.net\/duct-tape\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/31191239\/3TimesSquare-720x424.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a>After two fun weeks of playboating, we left the Mountain State\u00a0and headed to the big city where we pulled an all-nighter circumnavigating Manhattan in sea kayaks.
