Carmen Kuntz is a freelance writer, cinnamon bun connoisseur and whitewater kayaker who splits her time between Canada and Slovenia. She grew up exploring the water and wilderness of Ontario and was introduced to whitewater through canoe tripping. She swapped one blade for two and has embraced the semi-nomadic lifestyle of a kayaker, while pursuing a freelance writing career. Whitewater permeates much of her life and her stories are often based around self-propelled adventure and recreation conservation. From raft guiding to freestyle, river running and slalom, she’s usually got whitewater on her mind.
