Monica Nigon

Monica is a river guide, ski patroller, and writer based out of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Originally from Minnesota, she grew up exploring the rivers of the upper Midwest. After learning to kayak from her brother on the St Louis River near Duluth, she knew she wanted to pursue a life on the river. Monica moved to Colorado in 2015 and now spends her time skiing in the winter and rowing boats through Grand Canyon in the summer. She also enjoys climbing, mountain biking, playing her fiddle, and hiking with her dog.
