Steven Walker went on his first backcountry-paddling trip when he was still in diapers. Exploring wild places by water has been a priority in his life ever since. Based in Manitoba, he prefers exploring and paddling the most remote parts of Canada, where just getting to the river is an adventure in itself. He is a firm believer that good stories come from voluntary hardship in the company of brave friends.
