A Brother’s Fountain set out on the Snake River with nothing but their instruments and a question that needed answering: are people good?
For 120 miles, the folk band carried no food, no money, and no safety net, only their music and a willingness to trust complete strangers. The rule was simple: trade songs for survival and see what happens when you strip away all the convenience and comfort of modern life. The discoveries made about human generosity, the real power of music, and the joy of community were life changing, and are now being woven into a documentary by Stoked Ember Productions.
This trailer offers a glimpse into their journey: using music as currency, relying on the kindness of strangers, and forming authentic, lasting connections because of the magic of music. NRS is proud to have supported this wild adventure down one of the West’s most iconic rivers, helping capture a story that reminds us that we have more in common than we think, and we need each other to make it all mean something.
The full documentary drops Spring 2026.
